Republic Political System is the Dream of the Afghan People Part (#1)

It is more than forty years that the peace scholars work to find a practical solution for the greatest challenges in the world.  They continue to provide strategic insight solution policy for decision maker to chart a course toward a better world.  Peace in Afghanistan is an international issue. Therefore, the world community invested time and funds to end this home war. They also conducted some field studying to find out the reasons why the country cannot reach to compromise and reconciliation. But, with respect to their understanding, from my prospect, the war in this country rooted in our ideology.  Afghanistan has known as an Islamic country, Islam says, ′Muslims are brothers′.   However, the war for capturing power between the Modernism and Fundamentalism that are two distinct ideologies has already started in Afghanistan since 1978 and continued until now. In other words, it is ideology that watering the war / or pushing the engine of war in Afghanistan.  According to political events happened in the country, modernism associated with political ideas, appeared in the form of Republican system and ruled over the country from 1973-1996, and from 2002 to 2020.  Fundamentalism acted in the form of Emirate which is overseen from 1996 - 2001 over 90% of Afghanistan.  Both parties ruled in Afghanistan for a couple of years.  Now the question is; which one is the dream of the Afghan people? Why do people want republican?  For what values the people fight.
In reviewing the literature of Modernism, the goals are following via the [Republicans] are clear, [freedom] they are fighting for achieving values like liberty and autonomy.  Means they want absence of common restraints in Afghan society. Their justification is that freedom has been scrutinized in different areas of human life, particularly in the economic area ′economic freedom′, the media ′press freedom′ and the law ′civil liberties′.  Furthermore, republican believe freedom is one of human basic needs for social development incomes human must have their choices /or must be expand their adoptions through the government.  Because freedom is an important factor of welfare improvement. By expanding human choices and providing democratic relations in society - the country feel secure, develop well, successful and people become prospered.   Freedom indicates democracy, which is the government from the people for the people. Among all the systems of governing in the world, republican can grantee freedom concepts. Because there is tolerance, inclusiveness, and optimism, people have the right to disagree on certain matters of principle and policy - in republican system, people are open and free, the officials respect expressing different points of views. Since, for the proper function of government is to do for the people those things that have to be done but cannot be done, or cannot be done as well by individuals, and that the most effective government is government closest to the people.   Republican believe that good government is based on the individual and that each person’s ability, dignity, freedom and responsibility must be honored and recognized.  Moreover, they believe in equal rights, equal justice and equal opportunity for all, regardless of race, creed, age, sex or national origin and free media as well. A republican believe that persons with disabilities should be afforded equal rights, equal justice, equal opportunity.  In the light of freedom, the media will have remarkable growth. It is the fruit of republican that Afghanistan now boasts hundreds of newspapers, television and radio stations, and web-based media outlets. The free media increasingly play a role in public life in Afghanistan.  Today the media can criticize the government performances, conduct debate and analyze the statues of decision makers, while in Taliban time there was only one radio station [Radio Sharia].
The analysis of fundamentalism [Emirate] literature proves that in their political prospects, politics influenced by religion drastically. The fundamentals are often willing to participate in events with religious groups who do not hold the essential doctrines.   Their believe restricted and limited the power of governing with defining specific conditions.  Fundamentalists reject the liberty and freedom. They fight for making the society based on their own interpretation “Madrasah education” which the focus is the citizens live a life like the “Prophet” lived 1400 years ago, and jihad is their political machine. Fundamentalist do not give permission to political parties to exist or opposition to criticize the government.
As the Taliban spokesperson stated:  “The Sharia does not allow politics or political parties. That is why we give no salaries to officials or soldiers, just food, clothes, shoes, and weapons” According to Taliban interpretation, music, television, filming, Internet, sports and arts are forbidden in their territory.  As the people were witnessed; during the years of 1996 - 2001 movie theaters were closed and repurposed as mosques.  Taking photographs and displaying pictures or portraits also were forbidden, as the Taliban as a form of idolatry considered it.  The radio stations under Taliban control broadcast nothing other than religious programs and selected news. After the overthrowing of Emirate from power, the people have their freedom again, the people can breathe, fell self-determination today.
Finally, I believe that the Republican system is the best vehicle for translating these ideals into positive and successful principles of government. The Afghan’s citizen men and women have a historical responsibility. They have to demonstrate their hate nesses against Emirate system and back the government for keeping the achievements of two decades.  Liberty and freedom are the basic principles of republican system. Let us protect these two values in Afghanistan. (To be contintued)
