Talks with the Taliban

Dear Editor,
After having fought the war on terror for nine years, the voices for negotiations with Taliban are getting aloud and starting to be on today's top priority.
As an ordinary citizen of the war-ravaged country, I would like to express my opinion on the negotiations with Taliban started by our Government.

Has the Government taken masses into confidence for taking such an initiative? Why didn't they bring it all public? And on What basis are they going to sit on table with Taliban.

Terrorists demand withdrawal of foreign forces and rule of Taliban-style Sharia which means to ban girls' education, entertainment, violation of women rights, behead on having shaved, stone to death if women came out on roads without the damn Burqa. Are Taliban ready to forget these all other than that it seems as if the Government is going to bow them down and accept their demands?

As a voice from Afghans, I strongly demand the international community, particularly US, and NATO forces to support negotiations with Taliban incase, they forget about demanding withdrawal of foreign troops, accept the democratic process, forget the idea of imposing Sharia and accept women rights. In the first phase Taliban should be disarmed and further, they should sit on with for negotiations.
