Legal Demands should be Met

Dear Editor,

I am sending this letter to you to convey my message to Independent Election Commission (IEC) and Independent Electoral Complaint Commission (IECC).  It is important to say that Afghans have voted despite threats to their lives just to convey their message to Taliban that they want democracy not their fake sharia.

There were only two candidates and each has right to inform IEC and IECC about their reservations if they have any. It is the vital duty of IEC and IECC to pay attention to candidates’ demands. Head of the Election secretariat, Mr. Amarkhail’s case should be tackled seriously. President should send him aside as now his presence is provoking votes of millions of people whether he is guilty or not it should be decide by the Supreme Court.

President Karzai should sacrifice to strengthen democracy. UNAMA, EU and other international organization should play their role to stop the worse crises since 2001 that Afghanistan is being faced by.

Abdul Ali
