KABUL - The Afghan Red Crescent Society will soon offer an electronic charity which can be participated in via mobile phone, officials announced.

The charity will allow Afghans across the country to participate by buying electronic tickets via their mobile phones, which will give them the chance to win prizes. The services are provided by Alef Technology Company.

Revenues will benefit the Afghan Red Crescent Society (ARCS), which helps those displaced by natural disasters and provides support for the needy.

“The tickets will sell for 35 Afghanis and all citizens will access this service. The preliminary investigations show that the services will be welcomed by many of the citizens,” said Mohammad Tayeb Yousefzai, Head of Organizational Development and Planning Department of ARCS told TOLOnews.
