Khalili Call for Enhancing  Afghan-Kazakh Relations

KABUL - Second Vice President, Mohammad Karim Khalili, in a meeting with Kazakhistan's ambassador to Afghanistan, Omairitai Baitimov, on Sunday called for enhancing bilateral relations between the two countries. Presidential press office said BNA, describing the two nations as old friends, Khalili emphasized for the expanding cooperation in all fields particularly for the development of economy and expressed his gratitude over contribution of Kazakhstan to Afghanistan especially over providing food assistance recently.

In his address the Kazakhstan ambassador expressed his country's readiness for inking bilateral agreement to formation of regional center in Central Asia to deal with emergency situation and reducing natural disasters. The ambassador also stated the Kazakhstan favors building railway to connect Afghanistan with the rest of central Asian states, saying it is important of developing economic activities. Khalili also thanked Kazakhstan for its contribution to Afghanistan over the past decade. (BNA)
