Kabul University Students Protest against Teachers

KABUL - More than a hundred male and female students of Kabul University on Monday started hunger strike in protest against what they alleged their faculty head and a teacher discriminated against some fellows.

Of the 200 students, who gathered in front of parliament building in Kabul, 110 students of the social sciences faculty went on hunger strike. They include 40 females.

A final year student, Jalil Fitrat, accused their faculty dean, Abdul Farooq, and a lecturer Mohammad Faisal Amin of discriminating against students.

“Amin discriminates against students on the campus and Farooq is supporting him,” he said, without explaining the nature of discrimination. He asked the government to fire the two men. (Pajhwok)
