Delay in Election Law Approval will Put 2014 Election in Trouble

KABUL - He said that the Parliament should decide regarding election law's approval as soon as possible. Meanwhile, Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai, Head of Transition Process said that the government, political parties and civil bodies should adopt necessary measures for holding transparent and fair elections.

It's important to note that less than one year remains for the next Presidential election in the country and till now the election law has not been approved.

The leader of National Coalition is constantly criticizing the delay being caused in the election law implementation.

The Leader of National Coalition said, "Parliament should not delay the approving of election's law. Without the law, upcoming Presidential election will have to face some serious challenges."

Adding to it, the Head of Transition Process said that holding transparent and fair elections has a direct connection with the future of the country.

Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai said, "This year the most important task is to pave the way for holding transparent and fair elections. It is not only a duty of the government but also of the various political parties and civil bodies."

Holding transparent and fair elections is one of the most important desires of the Afghan people and the international community. (Tolo News)
