KABUL - However, the spokesman for Independent Election Commission (IEC) said that the country's security forces have promised to take security of the election process but still there are challenges ahead.

It comes a few days after transportation of voter registration materials to provinces started. It is expected that the registration of voters in all provinces will begin on 26th of May 2013 and will continued for two months.

"Election security is a top priority for police and the police are ready to use all its possibilities to provide security of the election. And any kind of concern about this issue is premature,"Sediq Sediqi MoI spokesman told TOLOnews.
