Pakistan’s Route Only Viable Option: ISAF

KABUL CITY - The International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) on Monday welcomed the reopening of a key logistic supply route by Pakistan.
The decision clearly showed Islamabad was interested in helping ensure a bright future for Afghanistan and the region at large, a new spokesman for the multinational force said.

Gunter Katz told a news conference in Kabul that the Pakistani land route was the only viable option for NATO supplies, while the alliance continued to use other routes as well.

"We still have a route in the north which is the second option for us and the third is airlifting of supplies into Afghanistan,'' the spokesman added. (Pajhwok)
