Marshal Fahim Chairs CM Law Committee Meeting

KABUL - Marshal Mohammad Qaseem Fahim first vice president chaired the meeting of the CM law committee yesterday. As per the agenda the draft law of provincial councils, law on government issues, the law on atomic energy and the amendment to the phrase 13 table 2 of the special wages of postal services in domestic post transactions were discussed.

At the start of the meeting Marshal Fahim talked on the importance of laws discussed and added that precision in compiling of laws and assessment of the laws meant taking steps towards solution of problems of the people and related organs.

Minister of Justice presented the mentioned draft laws to the meeting and the meeting discussed each of them separately and adopted the following decisions.

The draft law on provincial councils devised for regulating their affairs and their links with the local department and district and village shura and residents of the province needs reviewing.

The meeting assigned a commission led by Justice Minister and membership of Mohammad Ashraf Rasuli advisor in judicial and legal affairs, Nassrullah Stanikzai chairman of the legal and judicial consultative board, Abdul Khaliq Farahi chairman of the Local Organs Department and the representative of the election commission should review the law and present their views to the one of the coming meetings of the council of ministers.

The draft of the law on government cases, that is designed for preservation of public assets, follow up of legal issues on behalf of the government, considering the proposals and reforms advanced by the participants at the meeting was confirmed and shall be referred for final decision to the council of ministers.

The draft law on atomic energy that is designed for positive usage of atomic energy for peaceful means, ensuring the safety of security of the radio-active materials and its resources, prevention of proliferation and usage of radio-active and safety of environment was confirmed and referred to the CM meeting.

The draft amendment to the phrase 13 of table 2 of special wages of postal transport in inside the country considering the improvement in it was also confirmed and referred for finalization to the CM meeting. (BNA)
