U.S. Embassy Condemns Kabul Attacks

U.S. Embassy Condemns Kabul Attacks

KABUL - The U.S. Embassy condemns the attacks that took place today in Kabul and in other locations in Afghanistan. We offer our deepest condolences to all the victims of today's attacks and their families.
These attacks demonstrate again that insurgents are continuing their murderous campaign against Afghan civilians, and against a better future for Afghanistan.

As the transition to full Afghan security responsibility progresses, the enemies of the Afghan people and government now know that they will find steadfast, highly capable Afghan forces protecting the Afghan people, as proven today by their professional and highly effective response in restoring order.

There are many challenges ahead, but we are strong in our resolve to continue our important work with our Afghan and international partners to give the Afghan people the chance they deserve to build their country, for themselves and their children.

As President Obama has said, our partnership with Afghanistan will continue, as will our shared goal to disrupt, dismantle and defeat Al Qaida and ensure that Afghanistan can never again become a safe haven for terrorists. (PR)
