KABUL - President Ashraf Ghani on Saturday said that he was in high level consultations for prevention of further violence in the country, but his priority was remobilization of Afghan security forces.
He made the statements in a televised address about the ongoing situation of the country today.
““As your President, my focus is on preventing further instability, violence, and displacement of my people, so further killings, destruction of public facilities and achievements of the last two decades would be stopped in the imposed war no people” he said.
He said that his consultations with political leaders, various classes of people, representatives of international allies were underway and their results would be shared soon with the people.
Ghani said that mobilization of Afghan security and defense forces was also his priority and serious measures were underway on the regard.
Afghanistan is under serious threat of instability due to the imposed war, but efforts are on for assisting people who are displaced due to the conflict, he said.
This comes as Taliban captured 18 provinces in less than two weeks and conflicts in Maidan Wardak and Paktia provinces are currently underway. (Pajhwok)
