KABUL - The newly-appointed Afghan ambassador to the United States, Adela Raz, has formally taken charge of office.
In a statement, the Afghan embassy in Washington said Raz met all its diplomats and staff as well as consulate officials.
The ambassador stressed the need for team work and other critical tasks the embassy was carrying out in the current sensitive situation.
Raz previously served as Afghanistan’s permanent representative to the United Nations. (Pajhwok)
