Taliban Should Never Think Govt. Will Surrender: Ghani

KABUL - President Ashraf Ghani on Tuesday said that the Taliban should never think the government would be surrendered to the group and the militants were responsible for all destructions and bloodshed.
A statement from the Presidential Palace received by Pajhwok Afghan News said that Ghani made the statements during a cabinet meeting also participated by provincial governors via video conference today.
At the beginning of the meeting, the president shared detailed information about recent developments in the country, rehabilitation of security and defense forces and military recruitments, the source said.
“There is no any deals and intention for surrendering, we are doing a dignified life, today is the day of courage and intention,” the statement quoted Ghani as saying.
Ghani said, “If the Taliban thinks that the government will surrender, they will not turn real this dream in 100 more years. The Taliban and their supporters are responsible for bloodshed and destructions.”
The president directed officials concerned to take action for distribution of aid to people displaced or affected by conflicts and drought in the country.
The cabinet approved the duties regulation draft of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs with some changes as well as the duties regulation of the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation. (Pajhwok)
