Dr. Majroh  Appointed as WHO Deputy Executive Board Chief

KABUL - The acting minister of Public health has been appointed as deputy executive board director of the World Health Organization (WHO) for three years.
The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) in a statement said Dr. Wahid Majroh has been appointed as WHO deputy executive board director and a representative of Afghanistan and Eastern Mediterranean countries for the next three years (2021-24).
The statement added the deputy executive board director would provide appropriate consultation to the WHO and also attract resources for Eastern Mediterranean countries.
Dr. Majroh thanked the WHO chairman for his appointment and said that he would put efforts into promoting the provision WHO’s health services in the member countries.
Health Ministers of 34 countries have membership of the WHO executive board. (Pajhwok)
