KABUL - President Ashraf Ghani condemned a truck bombing that killed two dozen people and injured over a hundred others in central Logar province, saying the Taliban were accountable to God and nation for killing Afghans.
At least 24 people were and 112 more wounded in a massive truck bombing in the capital of Logar province on Friday evening.
A statement from the Presidential Palace received by Pajhwok Afghan News said that the president has condemned the attack and stated, “Taliban do not stop killing our people and destroying our facilities even in the holy month of Ramadan. He voiced on the Taliban to declare ceasefire during the holy month of Ramadan and show a good gesture for peace.
Former president, Hamid Karzai also denounced the attack and asked the conflict parties to be careful about foreign conspiracies against Afghanistan and work honestly for reaching a peace agreement ending the ongoing war. (Pajhwok)
