Consulted on Troop Withdrawal, Says US VP Haris

KABUL - The US vice-president says she was kept in the loop by President Joe Biden on his decision to withdraw troops out of Afghanistan.
Kamala Harris verified in an interview on Sunday Biden’s statement on his working relationship with the vice president.
Harris told CNN Biden consulted her on the issue of bringing home American forces from Afghanistan by September 11 this year.
On Biden’s decision, the VP said: “This is a president who has an extraordinary amount of courage. I have seen him over and over again, make decisions based on what he truly believes … is the right thing to do.”
According to aides, to bolster their working relationship, Biden and Harris spend five hours or more together per day in meetings at the White House.
Haris maintained she remained the last person in the room when big decisions were taken, including the pullout of all US troops from Afghanistan. (Pajhwok)
