ANDSF Ready to Defend  Afghanistan: Security Cheifs

KABUL - Head of Afghanistan’s security agencies on Saturday reassured Afghan National Defense Security and Security Forces have the capacity to defeat and foil any type of threat against the country and they have proved it in the past.
Acting Defense Minister, General Yasin Zia that six new A-29 Super Tucano aircraft were handed to the Afghan Air Force.
He said that people and the public shouldn’t be influenced through ISI (Pakistan Intelligence Agency) propaganda, these complex operations are handled by the ANDSF.
Hamdullah Mohib, National Security Advisor, said that the foreign forces have planned to hand over $1billion worth of military equipment to Afghanistan and its defense forces
Foreign troops will withdraw, whether you accept it or not, it has been 40 years that Afghanistan faces issues, the current problem is not beyond the strength of ANDSF, he added, that Afghan Air Force has over 160 various types of aircraft.
Zia Saraj Chief of National Directorate of Security on his turn said, there are reports of division between Taliban’s Quetta Shura, he said that Security forces are taking their responsibility seriously.
Hamdullah Mohib referring to the reported demand of the Taliban to release more of the group’s detainees said the Taliban should ensure the Afghan government that they are not demanding the release of drug traffickers.
He urged the Taliban to not call for further release of the prisoners.
This comes as Amrullah Saleh, the First Vice president indicated that the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan does not have plans to release additional Taliban prisoners. (Khaama Press)
