Moscow Meet Agenda Not Shared with Kabul: Muslimyar

KABUL - Meshrano Jirga Chairman FazalHadi Muslimyar on Tuesday said the Moscow meeting might produce dangerous consequences and complained the meeting agenda was yet to be shared with the Afghan government.
Muslimyar said government representatives would attend the meeting to make sure that the government was committed to peace and stability in the country.
The Moscow conference is scheduled for March 16, Thursday, while another meeting on Afghan peace process is expected to take place in Ankara in April.

“Religious minorities should be given their rights in peace talks,” he said.
Referring to first deputy chairman Alam Ezidyar’s participation in Moscow meeting, he said although Ezidyar has been invited from another address, still he should represent the house and raise the voice of people in Moscow forum.
“Though we have no information about the agenda of the meeting, yet the government representatives would attend the meeting to convey the message to the masses that government is supporting peace efforts,” he said.
Meshrano Jirga Member Anar Kali Hunaryar while supporting the Moscow meeting said participants from Afghanistan should get united and defend the rights of their people and war victims.
She termed minorities as part of Afghan nation and added all tribes and minority groups should be consulted on the peace process.
Mohammad Nader Baloch, a lawmaker from Nimroz province, also demanded the inclusion of all tribes and minority groups in peace process and said US special representative should consult minority groups on the peace process.
Mohammad Alam Azidyar, who is invited to the Moscow meeting, asked his colleagues to share their views and perspectives on peace process with him so that he could reflect them in the Moscow meeting. (Pajhwok)
