Kabul, Abu Dhabi Confer on  Afghan Peace Talks

KABUL - Afghanistan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have discussed the latest developments in the Afghan peace talks.
Abu Dhabi hosted on Sunday the maiden virtual meeting of the UAE-Afghanistan Political Consultation Committee, according to WAM news agency.
The consultations were co-chaired by Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Mirwais Nab and Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar, assistant minister of foreign affairs and international cooperation.
The two countries reviewed experiences in combating COVID-19, the UAE’s humanitarian efforts in this regard, its assistance to affected countries and the importance of international solidarity and cooperation on curbing the pandemic.
Afghanistan and the UAE also reviewed the development of their bilateral relations and cooperation in different areas, the news report said. (Pajhwok)
