PESHAWAR - Uzbekistan has reaffirmed its willingness willing to facilitate the ongoing Afghan peace process.
Sadulla Tashmatov, head of mission of Uzbekistan, said his country had always supported efforts for Afghanistan’s stability.
Speaking at the Area Study Centre at the University of Peshawar on Saturday, he said Uzbekistan had already offered to host the next round of the intra-Afghan dialogue in Samarqand.
The Central Asian nation was interested in using the Gwadar and Karachi ports for transit trade and was ready to join the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project. (Pajhwok)
