COVID-19: 25 of 240 Cases Test Positive in Afghanistan

KABUL - The Ministry of Public Health on Friday reported 25 new positive cases of COVID-19 out of 240 samples tested in the last 24 hours. The ministry also reported one new COVID-19 death and 71 recoveries.
The Ministry of Public Health on Thursday reported 17 new cases of the coronavirus out of 265 samples tested over the last 24 hours.   
So far, 108,089 samples have been tested in government centers and there are 4,870 known active COVID-19 cases in the country, according to data from the Ministry of Public Health.   
The number of total cases is now 38,897, the total reported deaths is 1,437, and the total number of recoveries is 32,576.   
The cases were reported in Kabul (5), Kunduz (14), Badakhshan (4), and Samangan (2) provinces.
The number of deaths from COVID-19 globally is more than 946,490 and the number of known global coronavirus cases is 30,199,007, according to Johns Hopkins University. (TOLO NEWS)
