Peace Process Being Forwarded in  Prudent Way: Ghani

KABUL - President Ashraf Ghani on Saturday said his government would move forward the peace process in a prudent way to see the conflict ending in the country.
A statement from the Presidential Palace said President Ghani chaired a meeting of security forces as the commander-in-chief on Saturday noon.
The meeting assessed the country’s overall security situation, especially of Ghazni, Balkh and Logar provinces and issued necessary instructions to security and defence forces in this regard.
The meeting conferred on security measures in place across the country, the statement said.
Shamim Khan Katawazai, Head of Independent Directorate of Local Governance (IDLG), also presented a report about coordination among governors.
First Vice President Amrullah Saleh and Second Vice President Sarwar Danish talked about the general and security situation of the country.
They praised the bravery and struggle of security and defense forces and stressed the need for improved security in the country. (Pajhwok)
