Afghan Negotiators Expected to Travel to Doha Within Two Days

KABUL - Afghan negotiating team is expected to travel to Qatari capital Doha within two days for talks with the Taliban, sources said Tuesday.
Aziz Fazly, an adviser of State Ministry for Peace Affairs, said that the release of remaining 320 Taliban prisoners has begun and the negotiating team will soon travel to Doha.
At least 100 of those prisoners were freed on Tuesday, most of them from Pul-i-Charkhi prison in Kabul.
Earlier, the government said that it would free the 320 Taliban prisoners if the group also releases commandos and pilots it was holding.
It remains unclear if the Taliban have released those prisoners.
Faraidoon Khwazoon, a spokesman for High Council for National Reconciliation, said that the prisoner swap was going well and that negotiations would begin after completion of the process. (1TV NEWS)
