Government Urged to Protect National Values, Prides

KABUL - The Tghir and Omaid Tolana (Change and Hope Association) have registered their protest and said that disgrace to the empire of Ahmad Shah Baba was not acceptable, a statement said on Saturday.
The association said that unfortunately some politicians in the country insulted national values for the interest of some external elements and created hurdles in the nation building process.
The statement hailed Ahmad Shah Baba’s heroics and said the great emperor and conquer of the sub-contented is remembered by the history due to his victories and triumphs.
“Renowned global faced such as Gandi, Ataturk and Jinnah better recognized the great Ahmad Shah Baba than us and they fully respected him.”
The Change and Hope Association said that Afghan nation should recognize their heroes and emperors and know what history they made.
The association also passed a resolution asking the government to protect national values and protect the name of Ahmad Shah Baba and places named after him.
Earlier, the Independent Directorate of Local Governments (IDLG) Deputy Head Mohammad Sarwar Jawadi has denied accepting Ahmad Shah Baba as an emperor on the basis of two official letters, copies of which are available with Pajhwok.
In an official letter of the IDLG, Jawadi crossed the world “Emperor” from Ahmad Shah Baba name and demanded another letter without the world “Emperor”.
This letter is dispatched to the Kandahar Information and Cultural Affairs Department for rebuilding Haram Sarai that belongs to Ahmad Shah Baba.
Some Wolesi Jirga members last week lambasted the omission of word ‘Emperor’ from Ahmad Shah Baba’s name and demanded the dismissal of IDLG deputy head. (Pajhwok)
