US Embassy Suspends Routine Consular Services

KABUL - The US embassy in Kabul has suspended all routine consular services, including visas and American Citizens Services (ACS) such as passport renewals and notaries.
The suspension of routine services, beginning on March 15, would continue until further notice, the embassy said in a statement.
It added: “If you have concerns about your health or safety in Afghanistan, now is the time to leave. Commercial transportation and infrastructure are intact and operating normally for the time being.”
Actions to take:
Consider leaving Afghanistan via the soonest available commercial transportation.
Have a plan of action in case of emergency that does not rely on US government transportation assistance. (Pajhwok)
