KABUL - To prevent coronavirus spread, the Presidential Palace has urged the people not to hold wedding parties and other public events until the coronavirus threat subsides.
The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) says five more positive cases of coronavirus have been registered in Afghanistan, taking the number to 16.
Chaired by President Ashraf Ghani, a meeting was held at the Presidential Palace on steps to prevent the spread of coronavirus late on Sunday, his office said on Sunday.
Ghani, through a video conference, discussed the issue with governors of Herat, Nimroz, Samangan, Balkh, Kapisa and Kabul provinces.
Ghani said measurers should be taken for the cleanliness of public places.
The president said attention should be paid to all provinces of the country, especially to Herat where the number of positive cases have been on the rise. (Pajhwok)
