Afghan, Indian Nationals Arrested at Delhi  Airport for Carrying Large Amount of Cash

NEW DELHI - The authorities in India have arrested two arrested two people including an Afghan national for carrying a large amount of foreign currency.
The CISF personnel arrested the Afghan and Indian nationals at Indira Gandhi International Airport for allegedly carrying around 1.3 crore Indian rupees ($175,000).
The Indian officials have told The Times of India that the CISF personnel arrested the two men, Harish Singh and Mohammad Ehsan Rahim late on Monday night.
The officials further added that the men were carrying large amount of foreign currency in their bags, including Dirham, Saudi Riyal and Qatari Riyal.
The two passengers were due to leave for Dubai on an Air India flight, the officials said, adding that the CISF staff handed over the two men to Customs authorities after they failed to explain the reason for carrying such high-value currency. (KHAAMA PRESS)
