Abdullah’s Campaign Head:  ‘I Was Barred from Flight’

KABUL - Ali Ahmad Osmani, head of Abdullah Abdullah’s electoral campaign team, said that Kabul airport officials were not allowing him to fly to Herat province on Sunday morning.
Osmani said that he was stopped at the Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul for 15 minutes and the airport officials “asked me” to leave the plane and “told me that I was not allowed to fly to the province.”
He said that he wanted to attend a wedding party of one of his relatives in the province.
However, Hamid Karzai International Airport officials have not yet commented on the incident.
In 2018, President Ghani dismissed Osmani from the Ministry of Energy and Water.
Later he become the head of Abdullah’s campaign team.
In 2018 reports have emerged that President Ghani has included the name of Osmani in the "Exit Control List." (TOLO NEWS)
