PESHAWAR - Twenty-four National Guard soldiers are set for deployment to Afghanistan, Stars and Stripes reported.
Based in the Albany suburb of Latham, the members of the 206th Military Police Company attended a farewell ceremony earlier in the week. They will leave for Fort Bliss in Texas on Thursday.
The soldiers, preparing for a 10-month deployment to Afghanistan, participated in the farewell ceremony at the New York State Division of Military and Naval Affairs Headquarters. (Pajhwok)
