PESHAWAR - Complicated regulations and lengthy procedures are adversely affecting trade between Pakistan, Afghanistan and Central Asian states, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s business leaders say.
“KP has the potential to help the country tangibly boost its trade ties with Afghanistan and other regional countries,” the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s acting president said.
Shahid Hussain, addressing a seminar at the-Chamber House in Peshawar on Friday, urged the government to promote the export of locally-manufactured products to regional countries.
The SCCI chief noted businesses in the province were harmed by terrorist activities. The authorities concerned should take steps to address the issue, he demanded. (Pajhwok)
