Tribal disputes have created a huge hurdle in the implementation of development projects, Khost Governor Haleem Fedae said on Friday.
He said 281big and small disputes had been resolved in the past one year on the provincial level with the support of tribal elders, district chiefs and the Dispute Resolution Commission.
He expressed the view during a public gathering on Thursday evening that marked the achievements of past one year.
Fedae said this year, more focus would be on social reforms, developments, resolution of tribal disputes, infrastructure and economic development.
The governor said that, the provincial government collected 1.6 billion revenue last year, while the expenditures were 4.6 billion afghanis.
In order to increase revenue and decrease expenditures, there is need for public support and coordination in collection of revenue.
Fedae said this year the provincial government would more focus on private sector, investment, social and administration reforms.(pajwak)
