MAZAR-I-SHARIF - A theater show was organised in Mazar-i-Sharif, the capital of northern Balkh province on Thursday to highlight human rights situation in the country, an official said.
The show was organised by the Sanai Development Orgnaisation under the porgamme of access to justice project in the Provincial Council facility.
Rehana Zaki, in charge of the Sanai Development Organisation, said the theater show was organised to display the life style of women in 90s and 80 decades.
She said that through the theatre show she wanted to tell the people to allow their women to work outside their home.
Zakia said they wanted to improve public awareness regarding women rights among public.
Pashton Sharara, member of the Afghan Women Network, said it was the responsibility of every member of society to voice against the violations of human and women rights.
She said women lived in difficult situation in the far-flung areas.
University Teacher Zabihullah Esar told Pajhwok Afghan News that positive things happened that changed women condition.
He said most women have access to health and education facilities and their participation in government institutions had increased. (Pajhwok)
