Kabul---- Embassy of South Korea in Kabul, on 5 December 2019 held a conference in Kabul Serena Hotel, titled “What is Korea for Afghanistan?
The event was divided in 2 parts; Presentation on the path Koreas has taken and Panel discussion and Q&A.
ZHa Hyoungh RHE, Ambassador of the KOR, in his opening speech said “the progress of Korea can provide vision for Afghanistan.”, referring to the current situation of Afghanistan he said that Korea was poor and secure, the Korean did not want war, but it was imposed on them due to politics of the day and they wanted peace and prosperity, as the Afghans strive to ensure them.
Comparing the natural resources of Afghanistan and Korea, the ambassador said that, Korea has very little natural resources while Afghanistan enjoys numerous natural resources and is a very gifted country. However, he mentioned the Korean education system as the engine of development of the Republic of Korea. “Korean civil service has played a huge role to ensure the Korean Vision,” added the Ambassador.
“You strive on behalf of the mankind, he said. The success of Afghans is the success of the world, and their failure is the failure of the world”, said the Ambassador. (Daily Outlook Afghanistan)
