FARAH CITY - Six-hundred poor families in western Farah province have been provided cash assistance from a Qatar-based welfare organization.
The Al Gharafa welfare organization from Qatar provided 10,000 afghanis to every poor family.
Governor Mohammad Shoiab Sabet and Shakih Shahid Jawad, deputy head of the Al Gharafa organization were present on the occasion.
Shaikh Shahid assured continued cooperation and assistance to other poor families in the province.
Hawa, the mother of eight children, whose husband was killed in a blast said: “We don’t have woods to heat up the house, but with this cash assistance I would be able to buy woods.” (Pajhwok)
