KABUL - A fresh batch of Afghan National Army’s (ANA) women personnel has begun training in India.
Twenty women members of the ANA are undergoing training at the Officers Training Academy in Chennai, a media report said.
The four-week course, which got under way on November 25, would end on December 21, the New Indian Express reported.
The women will be trained in areas of physical fitness, weapon handling, tactical issues, military leadership, human resource management and computer literacy.
They will also attend communication skills classes as part of the third such course for ANA women officers. The first batch of 20 officers was trained in 2017.
India and Afghanistan, enjoying robust and cooperative relations, signed a Strategic Partnership Agreement in October 2011. (Pajhwok)
