KABUL - As many as 40,000 Afghan students are currency enrolled in Iranian universities, a top diplomat said on Tuesday
Mehr News Agency quoted Ambassador Abdul Ghafoor Li      wal as saying most of the Afghans were pursuing technical and engineering programmes.
“Also, some 30 Afghan professors are MA, MS and PhD candidates in Iran,” the ambassador said.
Earlier in the month, the Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) and Afghanistan’s Khatam Al-Nabieen University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for broadening academic cooperation. (Pajhwok)
