Plan Devised to Protect Wedding Halls: Owners

KABUL - The Wedding Hall Owner Association on Tuesday announced devising a security plan to protect their halls and would share the plan with security organs for implementation.
At least 63 people, including women and children, were killed and another 182 wounded in a suicide bombing inside a wedding hall on Sunday.
The blast took place in Chahardi area in the limits of the 6th police district of Kabul at Dubai Shahr wedding hall Haji Mohammad Nadir Qarghaee, head of the wedding hall owners association, told a press conference in Kabul that the suicide bombing at the Dubai Shahr wedding hall had worried people and negative impact on their business.
He urged security forces to ensure their hotels’ security so as people could celebrate their happiness in a peaceful environment.
He said they had prepared a plan for protection of their wedding halls and the plan would be shared with security organs for its implementation.
Qarghaee also dismissed rumors that wedding halls had stopped operating in Kabul, saying besides security forces they had also taken measures to ensure security of hotels and people. (Pajhwok)
