KABUL - Pakistan’s foreign minister on Monday said a stable Afghanistan was in the best interest of his country and reiterated, promising sustained efforts for stabilising the war-devastated neighbour.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi arrived in Kabul this morning to meet his Afghan counterpart and other senior officials. The Foreign Ministry in Kabul said Salahuddin Rabbani met Qureshi on the renewed peace push.
Qureshi insisted on Pakistan’s policy of non-intervention in Afghanistan’s internal affairs, considering the success of peace efforts in the war-torn country the responsibility of the entire region.
