Kabul Deeply Grieved by  Deaths in Indonesian Tsunami

KABUL - Kabul on Monday voiced its deep shock over the loss of precious lives in a tsunami that battered Indonesia two days back.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kabul extended sympathies and condolences to the Indonesian government and people over the death and destruction triggered by Saturday’s disaster.
Before the grief expressed in a statement from the ministry, Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah tweeted: "Deeply saddened by the losses and damage caused by the tsunami in Indonesia.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims, their families, government and people of Indonesia," said Abdullah, a former foreign minister.
The toll from the tsunami touched off by a volcanic eruption has climbed to 281 dead and 1,016 wounded, according to media reports. (Pajhwok)
