Woman, Teenage Boy  Separately Killed in Faryab

MAIMANA CITY - A heavily pregnant woman was stabbed to death by his son in northern Faryab province, where a teenage boy was found dead inside a water well.
Abdul Karim Yourish, Faryab police chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News the woman was stabbed to death by her son in the fourth police district of Maimana city, the provincial capital, this morning.
Police detained the killer, Noor Ahmad.
Mohammad Ibarhim, husband of the victim, said his son and his daughter-in-law (the wife of his son) together killed his wife. He said he had seven children and her wife was pregnant when killed.
Dr. Frangis, Faryab forensic department head, said the woman had received three stab wounds on her chest and she was also pregnant for 31 weeks.
Hamidullah Azimi, provincial Human Rights Commission head, confirmed the incident and said the murderer had been arrested by security forces.
“We will closely follow this incident in judicial organs so the criminal is punished according to the law,” he said.
He said 27 murder and suicide cases of women were registered by the commission in Faryab this year.
Meanwhile, Faryab police said the body of a teenage boy was found from a well in the first police district of Faryab city on Friday night.
Police spokesman said the victim Shah Mohammad, 15, had been shot dead. Two people have been detained in connection with the incident, he concluded. (Pajhwok)
