LASHKARGAH - Helmand officials said the Taliban commander and two others were killed and seven children and four women were wounded in the explosion.
At least three people were killed and 11 others were wounded in an explosion in Helmand province, local officials said Monday.
The governor’s media office said in a statement the incident happened on Sunday while Baran, a Taliban commander, was assembling an IED in his house in Garmsyer district.
According to the statement, two of Baran’s family members were also killed and seven children and four women were wounded.
Taliban have not yet commented on the incident. (Tolo news)
