KABUL - National Security Advisor (NSA) Mohammad Hanif Atmar has directed in-depth inquiry into the murder of Paktia 01 Special Forces Commander Azizullah Karwan.
Karwan gunned down in an armed attack in capital Kabul on Thursday night.
Atmar hailed the efforts of Karwan and termed him a professional soldier who served and trained soldiers.
“For the time being the martyrdom of Karwan is a huge loss but his friends and fellow soldiers will follow his footprints in full sprit,” he said.
Atmar directed all intelligence and military institutions to investigate the killing of Karwan, arrest the perpetrators and punished them according to the law.
Karwan had been targeted by the insurgents 38 times but he survived the attack except the latest one. (Pajhwok)
