11 Daesh Militants Killed  in Nangarhar Airstrike

JALALABAD - Nearly a dozen Islamic State (IS) rebels have been killed and two others wounded in an airstrike on their hideouts in Chaparhar district of eastern Nangarhar province, an official said Monday.
On the other hand, two drugs producing factories were also destroyed in an Afghan airstrike in Khogyani district of the province.
Nangarhar police spokesman Hazrat Hussain Mashraqiwal told Pajhwok Afghan News that foreign forces targeted Daesh or so-called Islamic State (IS) militants in Ghulam Dag locality of the district.
He said 11 IS fighters were killed and two others wounded and three of their vehicles were also destroyed.
He further added Afghan security forces also conducted a clearing operation in Batikot district and had so far cleared some areas from Taliban insurgents.
Security forces and civilians suffered no causalities during the clearing operation, he concluded.
The Taliban and Daesh have not yet commented about these incidents. (Pajhwok)
