KABUL - President Ashraf Ghani has urged all the Afghans to join hands for ensuring transparent and fair elections in order to make democracy in Afghanistan a success.
The president was talking to relatives of those killed in a terrorist attack on a mosque in Yaqubi district on people registering to vote. The president also talked to family members of a BCC reporter who was recently killed in Khost province.
The president said those killed in the mosque attack were the martyrs of democracy and said attacks on
“Elections are the clear difference between us and past regimes. The Afghans do not like to be ruled at force, so elections are the only option.” (Pajhwok)
