KABUL - Ecuadorian Foreign Minister Maria Fernanda has sought Afghanistan’s support got her candidacy for chairwomanship of United Nations General Assembly session.
She asked Foreign Minister SalahuddinRabbani for Afghanistan’s backing of her bid during a meeting in Baku, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Sunday.
A statement from the ministry said both sides discussed bolstering bilateral relations in different fields such as politics, economy and culture.
Rabbani also met his Venezuelan counterpart on the sidelines of the NAM foreign ministerial meeting. They agreed on further cementing ties between the two countries.
He also met Bangladesh state governor on foreign affairs. They exchanged views on good relations and the recent visit of the deputy foreign minister of Bangladesh to Kabul. (Pajhwok)
