KABUL - President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has assured the residents of southern Ghazni province to resolve their problems and urged multi-dimensional overhaul to local police force of the province, a statement from Presidential Palace said.
According to the statement the president met elders, influential people and civil society activists on Friday afternoon at Chahar Chinar Palace.
Haji Noor Mohammad, Malem Mohammad Hashim, Haji Abdul Ahad and Dr. Umar Ayan spoke on the behalf of visiting delegation.
They shared their views on rule of law, equal distribution of water, identification of unauthorized armed men and their arrest, change at Ghazni civilian and military administration, security, education, equal development, construction of buildings for hospitals, hiring of qualified individuals and latest incident in Ghazni province.
They reiterated their support for government mega uplift projects and their plans.
Presidential Advisor Asadullah Wafa shared latest information about Ghazni incident and hailed cooperation of common people.
President directed the rural rehabilitation and development ministry official to chalk out plan which ensure the equal distribution of water and take steps for its implementation.
The president assured the visiting delegation from Ghazni to resolve their problems. He said: “Brotherhood, cooperation and assistance embodied in your views, Afghanistan is the share home of all of us.”
The president tasked authorities to evaluate the Afghan Local Police force in Ghazni province and identify every local armed person.
He said if misuse from state resources was proved the perpetrators should be dealt according to the law.
“I got your message regarding administrative change in Ghazni, give some time and I will implement your suggestion in proper time.”
Regarding the hiring of qualified people from Ghazni, the president ordered the formation of a proper plan in this regard. (Pajhwok)
