Afghanistan Beats Cambodia 2-1 in Asian Cup Qualifier

KABUL - Despite their win, Afghanistan has not qualified for the 2019 Asian Cup Tournament scheduled for January in the UAE.
Afghanistan’s National Football Team beat Cambodia 2-1 in the 2019 AFC Asian Cup qualifiers match on Tuesday.
Despite their win, Afghanistan failed to qualify for the tournament which will be hosted by the United Arab Emirates.
Afghanistan scored both goals in the first half of the game which was held Dushanbe, in Tajikistan.
Mustafa Azadzoy netted the first goal for his team in the 26th minute while Jabar Sharza scored the second goal in the 45th minute of the first half.
Cambodia scored its only goal against Afghanistan in the 69th minute.
Beating Cambodia was Afghanistan’s only win in the qualifying tournament after having drawn three matches and losing two.
Twenty four teams have already qualified for the 2019 AFC Asian Cup which will run from January 5 to February 1 next year.
The winner of the 2019 AFC Asian Cup will earn the right to participate in the 2021 FIFA Confederations Cup.  (Tolo news)
