PESHAWAR - Pakistan says being a peace-loving country it wants cordial relations with all neighbouring and regional countries, particularly Afghanistan.
Efforts were underway to strengthen relations with Afghanistan, Iran and Russia, Foreign Minister Khawaja Muhammad said on the eve of the Tashkent peace conference.
Ahead of his departure for Uzbekistan, the minister said on Sunday Pakistan desired stability in Afghanistan. Lasting peace in the neighbouring country was in Pakistan’s best interests, he remarked.
Pakistan was trying its best to eliminate the menace of terrorism from its soil, he said, insisting there were no safe havens for terrorists on its soil. (Pajhwok)
