Death Toll Rises to  Nine in Kabul Blast

KABUL - Ministry of Interior says the explosion happened at least 300 far from Mosalla-e-Mazari area in Kabul’s PD6.
An explosion occurred in Kabul’s PD6 in the west of the city close to a ceremony on death anniversary of Abdul Ali Mazari, the slain leader of the Islamic Unity Party of Afghanistan.
The Ministry of Interior's deputy spokesman Nusrat Rahimi told TOLOnews that the explosion was a suicide bombing which happened close to Mosalla-e-Mazar, the hall where the gathering was held, in Kabul’s PD6.
He said at least nine people were killed and seven others were wounded in the explosion.
He added that the explosion happened close to a check point which distanced at least 300 meters from the gathering in which senior government officials marked the anniversary of Abdul Ali Mazari's assassination.
Sources however said at least 10 people were killed and 22 others were wounded in the blast. (Tolo news)
